How do I make a submission to the Film Festival?
You can click on submission tab at the top of the page to head over to our submission system. The deadline will be April 22nd, 2016, so our faculty will have a chance to review your work and make the selections for screening at Varsity Theatre in May. For your reference, you can click here to view the general guidelines and rules to make an eligible submission.
-
Can I get involved with the Festival?
Yes! We are an established club under the Center for Student Involvement at UC Davis. Students from any majors can get involved with putting together one of the most anticipated events of the school year. From planning, administration, technical work, to publicity, we are sure there will be a role for you to play. Stay tuned for our new meeting time for Winter Quarter 2016.
-
Am I able to receive academic or internship credit for participation in the Festival?
While the Festival isn't a class and does not offer academic credit, our team works closely with the faculty for the execution of the Festival. There will be opportunities for you to utilize what you have learned in other courses. In certain cases where you make a commitment to take on a role or position, our head producer and facult advisor may be able to offer internship credit (course 99 or 199) from the Film Department at their discretion.

How much does it cost to go to the Festival?
We have yet to announce pricing for the 2016 Film Festival. However, admission to one night of the Festival is generally less than the cost of a Hollywood movie at a theater (and you're seeing roughly 10 short films). For the best deal, buying tickets for both nights as a bundle will cost less.
